Hi Family and Friends!
We hope everyone is having a good fall. We are enjoying the cooler weather and have been super busy since we last updated the blog, imagine that. Since our last update we took one final trip to the beach with Aunt Steph, Uncle Matt and Uncle Matty the last weekend in August. It was nice to relax for a few days together. You will see from the pictures that we had pretty good fishing weather. Joe caught a flounder and Matt caught a blue fish that we ended up filleting and eating with our dinner that night.
Joe and I took a trip up to Philly in mid-September to meet with the Italian consulate for his Italian citizenship. It went really well and we just found out yesterday his file is complete! So now he just waits to get the letter or call that he can get his passport.
We've been spending lots of time at the park, going to Gymboree on Saturdays with Emilia, spending time with neighbors and friends.
Our exciting family news is that Steph and Matt found out they are having a BOY!!!! Finally, a boy in the family. We are all very excited.
Emilia is doing great, she is loving her new class and teachers and so are we! She's such a big girl now and it's so much fun to see how her imagination is coming to life. She's getting super excited about Halloween this year. She decided she wants to be Cookie Monster, so we got her the hilarious costume that she loves to wear around the house. We are trying to find DayDay (Joe's Dad) a Count costume so that they can keep the Sesame Street theme and go trick or treating together.
We'll make sure to post pictures.
We are having a baby shower this weekend for Allen and Jamie who are due in 4 weeks, then we are heading to Charlotte to see Grandma and DayDay for the weekend. Joe is taking his Dad to his first Nascar race that weekend. Hopefully we will have some down time at the end of October before all of the holiday madness gets underway.
