Happy New Year!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Over the past couple of month's we have been quite busy. We spent Thanksgiving in Charlotte with Joe's family and enjoyed a nice long weekend there. Emilia got to go to the Charlotte Christmas parade and we all got to see where Grandma and Day Day work. Emilia had a blast playing on the playground at Grandma's school. She also enjoyed playing with her "silly Uncle Matty" over Thanksgiving.
December was spent getting ready for Christmas, going to holiday parties, spending time with family and friends and baby showers. It was a really fun but busy month. As you can see from the pictures, Emilia had a great Christmas. I think she got to the point where she was overwhelmed with all of the gifts. We tried to spread some of it out over a few days so that she could enjoy the gifts and take her time opening the gifts.
Joe got to spend some time catching up with Adam, Read, Sean and Speight. It was so wonderful to see old friends you have not seen in so long, but it feels like you just saw them yesterday.
I am settling in and finally starting to get the hang of things at my new job. I love working for my parents business and I am learning so much! We are going to be opening the Wake County office on January 15th, yeah!
My mom and I threw a baby shower for Steph and Matt the weekend after Christmas. We are all eagerly awaiting the arrival of baby Wright (due Feb 5th). Even Emilia is getting excited and ask's Steph to see her belly each time she see's her.
Besides the fact that Emilia makes us laugh all the time and continues to amaze us with her vocabulary and funny facial expressions, our big news is that she is officially potty trained!!! She is such a big girl and tells us that on a daily basis. Enjoy the new pictures and we will post more soon, hopefully with pictures of baby Wright. Stay tuned and Happy New Year...
