Hello Everyone!
I apologize that it's been a while since our last post. Somehow the summer is slipping away. I can't believe it's almost August already!
We've had a great month and a half of soccer, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family and celebrating birthdays. Emilia was lucky enough to be invited to a couple of her classmates birthday parties in June and then we headed to the beach to celebrate Grandma's birthday with her for the weekend. We also had a nice Father's Day weekend. Silly Uncle Matty came to stay with us for the weekend and then Grandma and Day Day came to have a nice Father's Day brunch with us.
July has been a busy month but we started it off with a bang. We decided to stay in Cary for the 4th and we spent it with neighbors and good friends. Emilia had a blast at her friend, Roman's pool and then enjoyed doing sparklers later that evening. She was not a fan of the fireworks because of the loud noise but hopefully next year she wont be so sensitive to the noise.
Emilia started soccer at the beginning of July and is really enjoying it. She is probably one of the smallest kids in the class but she holds her own pretty well. Joe has also been playing soccer this summer and is also having a great time. Unfortunately Emilia and I don't get to go and watch much because his games are so late at night.
Emilia has really been enjoying summer camp at school this year. Each week they have a theme at school, which is really neat. You can see from the pictures they had pony rides during Western Week. Last week was dinosaurs, so we took her to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham to see the new dinosaur exhibit and she had the best time.
Last week we also got to spend some time with one of my oldest friends, Erin, who came to NC to visit. It was so much fun to meet her little girl, Nora and her husband, Tony while they were here.
That pretty much wraps up our June and July. We are looking forward to a fun month in August. We have concerts, a beach trip with friends planned and more birthdays to celebrate. Hope you all are doing well!
Love,
Les, Joe and Emilia
